2019 Unifor Proposals

  1. The Union proposes to negotiate a Joint Harassment Committee.
  2. The Union proposes to negotiate top-up for Parental Leave.
  3. The Union proposes to implement the existing Binding Grievance Mediation and Arbitration language permanently.
  4. The Union proposes to resolve all outstanding grievances and add timeframes for the scheduling of meetings.
  5. The Union proposes to negotiate improvements to the EJV Hiring process.
  6. The Union proposes to negotiate improvements to Home Board and Lodging.
  7. The Union proposes to negotiate improvements to the job security and layoff language.
  8. The Union proposes to negotiate improvements to the tech change language.
  9. The Union proposes to negotiate improvements to vacation entitlement.
  10. The Union proposes to negotiate a fair wage increase. These increases shall be provided to all employees including employees on wage maintenance.
  11. The Union proposes to negotiate an appropriate rest period and compensation when working outside of regular hours.
  12. The Union proposes to negotiate an increase of Company contributions to both the SaskTel Pension Plan and the Public Employees’ Pension Plan.
  13. The Union proposes to negotiate mental health language into the Collective Agreement, including Mental health days, the CSA Mental Health Standard and a definition of Mental Health.
  14. The Union proposes to negotiate improvements to sick leave benefits.
  15. The Union proposes to implement the sick leave top-up arbitration language into the Collective Agreement.
  16. The Union proposes to negotiate Guide dog coverage for accommodations.

  30. The Union proposes to renew all Letters of Understanding and Memorandums of Agreement and incorporate them into the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

  32. The Union proposes to discuss the inclusion of respectful workplace signage in SaskTel workplaces.
  33. The Union proposes to negotiate changes to the permanent part time ratio.
